The Sales Manager for RSO Bangalore responsible for Shangri-La''s - Eros Hotel, New Delhi based in Bangalore

The sales manager handles companies with individual and group travel potential for the hotel. He/she, under the guidance of the Director of sales implement all the sales activities and action plans outlined in the marketing plan of the hotel and maximize the business opportunity in his/her area of responsibility.


  • Handling the corporate segment of the Hotel and involve seeking new business opportunities for the Hotel.
  • Responsible for actively selling & promoting the hotel to various market segments & industries like Corporate, RFP/ Global Accounts.
  • Where applicable, work closely with the Regional Sales Offices (S) to assist the team in optimizing revenue generation.
  • Complete involvement in RFP Account and their procurement process
  • Coordination with Banquet Sales Team in order to get MICE business for the hotel.
  • Develops and executes effective business development strategies that will ensure continued and sustainable profitable growth for rooms as well as revenue centers.
  • Keeps abreast of current and future competitors’ products, pricing and sales programs and deploy resources to efficiently optimize RevPAR and achieve/maintain the leading market position.
  • Be familiar with and use the sales and marketing software solutions i.e Nexus, Lanyon, Meeting broker, Cvent, Delphi in managing sales accounts and optimize all revenue opportunities.
  • Analyzes market changes. Under the direction of the DOS, implements proactive programs to meet changes i.e. changes brought by political, economic or competitive changes in market places.
  • Supervises all aspects of familiarization groups including inquiry, coordination and execution thereof.


  • College Graduate / Degree  in Sales/Marketing/Hospitality Management/Tourism
  • Having at least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity in an international hotel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent in selling and negotiation skills.
  • Innovative and has a strong sense of market trends.
  • Self-Starter, Tactful and assertive in achieving business result.
  • Have strong customer focus and quality oriented
  • Indian Resident is preferred.
