The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for digital marketing in the Ned-Nordics & Germanics Business Unit (Germany, Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark), based in Amsterdam, you’ll be responsible for driving quality traffic to our key digital platforms, making sure our customers engage with the brand online and are aware of the online opportunities Subway offers, e.g. Remote Order, 3PD. You are also responsible spotting where we could do a better job; which channels to activate with what kind of message or tool.
Day-to-day, you’ll be working collaboratively with the Marcomms team and our agencies on compelling campaigns, offers and promotions to drive volume to our loyalty app, mobile order and 3rd party delivery (3PD) platforms.
You’ll be measured on increased customer count and units purchased, increased awareness of digital platforms, cost per acquisition and campaign conversion rates. You’ll also support the team with changes to digital platforms which aim to support new products and modification of our menus. You’ll work closely with Digital Product Managers (in our EMEA regional office) for the Subway app and our other digital platforms to ensure that platform changes which affect the Ned-Nordics & Germanics BU’s are prioritized according to business and customer value.
As a digital manager/specialist, you’ll help the wider team to broaden their knowledge of digital marketing, ensuring that loyalty continues to be a key digital driver.
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maybe you’re a junior digital marketer working for an agency or consultancy? Or maybe you’re working on digital programmer and propositions in-house for another brand? Either way, you’ll be able to show us examples that demonstrate your experience in executing digital marketing campaigns and activations for large consumer-facing brands.

When we meet, you’ll also be able to show us that you:
have worked as a digital marketing expert with at least 3 years on digital campaigns, activations and promotions on various platforms
know what is needed to create and execute innovative marketing campaigns that drive traffic to digital platforms
can demonstrate a track record of driving significant business results through digital channels and measuring performance of digital campaigns
have the ability to shape strategy (together with the EMEA Digital Product Managers) and convert into tactical execution
have a collaborative approach that will engage the wider team and drive products and people forward for high output success
can present your ideas clearly, simply and with confidence
can think rationally, using data and insight to break down problems in a methodical and logical way
are commercially savvy, and able to build long term relationships and hold people to account to meet expected service levels
have passion and accountability for delivering great outcomes for customers

Requirements

Essential
Minimum 3 years’ experience of managing digital marketing campaigns
Strong track record of running successful campaigns using customer insight and behavioral/analytics data (quantitative and qualitative)
Adept in data analysis, and working experience of collaborating with analysts to measure campaign performance
A strong background in marketing and working knowledge of brand planning, loyalty, CRM and creative disciplines
Experience of delivering results in highly competitive markets, prioritizing activity to deliver the most commercial impact
Excellent budget and financial management skills
Strong relationship management skills (particularly with marketing agencies)
An analytical mindset, ability to interpret complex data and strong problem-solving skills
Comfortable presenting trade-offs and decisions to senior stakeholders, building consensus around digital priorities and advocating the value of digital to the rest of the company
A clear communicator, with commercial acumen and the ability to self-organize

Desirable
Experience in Digital Product Management, or have worked closely with highly evolved digital product teams
Knowledge and experience of the food retail / QSR sector
Knowledge of Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics
A background in marketing strategy and managing CRM/lifecycle communications
A degree in a Digital or Marketing related discipline
Speaks fluent English and or Dutch/Swedish/Finnish/German
