The hotel has 147 guest rooms with spectacular outdoor Jacuzzis, three restaurants and a bar, a fitness centre and spa, an infinity swimming pool a business centre, and two meeting rooms. Over a 1000 guests can be accommodated in cocktail/reception style in Bern, the largest pillar-free banqueting facility of over 7000 square feet, apart from 3 breakout halls of over 650 square feet each.
The hotel has separate smoking (7th & 8th floors) and non-smoking floors (4th, 5th, 6th, 9th & 10th floors), free internet in areas except the banquets, and is noted for its unique offering of Swiss hospitality and attention to detail.

  • Conduct regular quality checks, training and re-training for team members to deliver consistent standards in accordance to Hotel IQ and GAP standards
  • Maintain and update Department Standard Practice Instructions as and when needed
  • Coordinate and conduct inter-departmental training on hardware checks to prevent equipment failure in guest rooms
  • Hold regular meetings, or as and when the need arises with the Officers and/or Assistants to discuss and resolve any problem pertaining to team members, work flow, environment, etc
  • Attend operational meetings which requires Communications and/or Business Centre presence for information, clarification, ideas, etc
  • Conduct Performance Management and appraisal for team members at Communications and Business Centre
  • Prepare monthly Cost Allocation list and accruals with accuracy and in timely manner
  • Ensure telecom rates in Call Accounting System synchronise with prevailing rates from Telecom Provider
  • Report any system abnormalities and follow up with conscientious effort to close the issues with support from provider and implement preventive measures when required
  • Provide support to Communications Engineer on line application, installation logistics, billing, and quotation to Catering Sales Manager




Reports to Director of Sales & Marketing

Establishes relations with social organizations, clubs, associates, press, online media, protocol, government and municipality offices

Keeps the data of these sources always up-to-date in our information systems

Participates to various social and promotional events (even hotel’s not own event) in the hotel and outside of the hotel

Prepares hotel’s own press events

Prepares guides and is actively involved in big prestigious events of the hotel.

Ensures that hotel has a good standing in the local community, especially with and through charities

Plays an active role to find sponsors for the events of the hotel

Coordinates with the local and foreign PR agencies that hotel works with

Helps Director of Marketing to provide up to date information to local and foreign media, Swissotel corporate office, sister hotels

Assists Director of Marketing in preparation of hotel collateral in which input is necessary

Works closely with Digital marketing Manager in social media day to day work and on monthly  campaigns

Follows up award applications on behalf of the hotel and participates to award ceremonies to represent the hotel

Welcomes and handles all press familiarization trips to our hotel

Supports the guest relations activities of the hotel

Monitors the media for the press impressions about the hotel, prepares monthly media clipping report and presents to GM and DOSM

Assist the Digital Marketing Manager by preparing newsletters or other promotional materials

Conducts photo shooting at hotel premises (with a professional photographer of related field) up to brand guidelines

Prepare Month-end report for corporate office

Prepares Public relations budget and action plan along with yearly Sales & Marketing plan to reach hotel’s strategic objectives

Performs other duties and special projects as and when assigned


We are looking for a well organized and creative candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to display a "passion for perfection" and work in a dynamic environment. In addition, the candidate should possess:  

University DegreeExperience in Public Relations minimum 2 yearsComputer literate in Microsoft Window applications requiredGood command of Bengali, Hindi and English, both written and verbalStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliable, strong analytical skills, excellent decision making skillsAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
