Bar Ambassador
 
The Bar ambassador ensures that the bar attached to him/her is clean and tidily arranged and beverage cost is low.  She/He reports directly to his Outlet Manager/Assistant Manager/Senior Bar Team Leader/Bar Team Leader and to undertake full responsibility of bar stock and service as requested by the supervisors.  Thorough knowledge of the products of the certain bar and specialties and service required.  She/He is aware of the beverage incentive of the outlet inclusive of the drive to achieve absolute beverage excellent as required by supervisors.  She/he is absolutely aware that any bar is judged by the personnel that runs it and the bartender’s attitude towards job performance is constantly in the front line and therefore should be fully understood to achieve the ‘must’ – ‘can do’ goals as expressed by all supervisors.

 

Summary of Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are as listed below, but not limited to these:

 

  • Completely faimilar with the drink prices, bottle prices and all beverage policies. 
  • Able to mix all the international cocktails as well as the cocktails in the hotel.
  • Assigns the Assistant bartender to do certain duties as required under their respective job descriptions.
  • Maintains the highest standard of drink preparation and ensure that every aspect of a drink is carefully looked after.
  • Able to handle complaints efficiently and report all complaints to his superivsors. 
  • Able to recommend and push for beverage sales.
  • Checks that all hard liquors are kept and locked.
  • Always comply with the Hotel’s policy and standard of service.
  • Always utilise the standard jigger when pouring liquor.
  • Attend daily roll calls.
  • Attend all meetings concerning certain outlet’s as instructed by the supervisors.
  • Clean the bar outlet daily for excellent working conditions using the inspection checklist as instructed by Bar Supervisors and Senior Bartenders.
  • Conduct herself/himself in a manner expected of a bartender and member of the F&B, gaining the respect of his fellow colleagues.
  • Do cashiering whenever required.
  • Take food order and serve food in any outlet that you are attached.
  • Able to use Material Control to replenish beverage stocks by collecting it from Beverage Store (B2) during Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
  • To perform daily inventory of all products at the bar using existing cost control inventory sheet.
  • Comply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all times.
  • Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management of the Hotel and department.
