Requirements

HR & Training Officer - our expectations

Experience in dealing with HRIS systems and payroll.
CIPD level 5 qualified and good knowledge of Employment Law.
To at all times abide by the General Data Protection Regulation and maintain the utmost confidentiality in respect of personal or sensitive information.
To be fully aware of and adhere without exception to all Company policies, procedures, rules and regulations as laid out in the Employee Handbook, all Human Resources policies and procedures, acting as a role model for other associates at all times.
To set an example in personal grooming, encouraging other associates to be well-groomed and dressed in accordance with the Company’s dress code / uniform guidelines, and also to be punctual for duty and appointments.
To be familiar with the HR Responsibilities Chart and ensure all tasks that are owned are delivered on time and to standard and shared tasks are completed as required.
Pro-active with excellent organisational skills and the ability to balance conflicting priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
To assist in the drafting, implementation, and reviews of Hotel’s policies related to Human Resources.
In conjunction with the applicable Human Resource Team member; design, implement, deliver and evaluate new training programmes in line with the needs of the business and as requested.
To be available where required on casework including investigations, disciplinary, grievance and absence matters, providing advice and guidance to managers while ensuring policies are followed and implemented consistently and fairly.
To inform the Human Resource Management of any matters of concern relating to associates.
To drive all aspects of recruitment while working alongside the head of departments.
To coordinate and organise on a daily and monthly basis all aspects of training within the hotel.
To foster a working environment that is high in associate morale, provides constant learning and development and career progression opportunities, and supports positive and effective working relationships both within Human Resources and throughout all departments across the unit.

Ensures laws relating to employment and other specific areas such as Health & Safety, (list is not exhaustive) are strictly adhered to.
To be fully aware of and adhere without exception to all Company policies, procedures, rules and regulations as laid out in the Employee Handbook, all Human Resources policies and procedures, Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces and TATA Policies and Procedures along with the Company’s ‘Group Behavioural Norms’ whilst acting as a role model for other associates at all times.
To actively participate in the communicative culture of the department, contributing to daily meetings and otherwise communicating all pertinent information to the other members of the team, and keeping up-to-date with departmental, Hotel and Company-wide events, activities and initiatives.
Previous experience within four/five star hotel in the same capacity and have an outgoing and bubbly personality, Enjoys working in a busy environment, excellent communication skills as well as excellent command of the English language.
Good sense of humour.
