The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel is currently recruiting for an Elevator Operator.  The Elevator Operator is responsible for manning the elevator and provide thorough knowledge of all hotel services and amenities in order to assist guest requests.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



Remain in assigned post position, maintaining correct stance; ability to remain stationary throughout long periods of time.


Interact in courteous and professional manner with all guests, staff and community members


Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.


Maintain knowledge of:



Scheduled daily activities.


Daily arrivals/departures.


Features and services provided by the hotel.


Hours of operation for each outlet



Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without any assistance.
Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
Ensure that standards, inclusive of grooming and attire of staff, are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.

Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards as directed by management (Forbes, LQA and Rosewood Brand Standards


Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy

Work with minimal supervision


Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data


Prior heavy exposure to front of the house positions.


Ability to remain stationary at times throughout long periods of time.


Ability to be resourceful, creative and maintain flexibility


Ability to perform mathematical operations with units of measure including, but not limited to dollars, cents, feet, inches, cups, pounds and ounces


Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred


Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 30 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understand


 

Qualifications



High school diploma or equivalent work experience.


Minimum one year experience in a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel.


Prior exposure to front of the house positions is required.
