Job Description:
Ability to oversee all functions of the Human Resources department, with a concentration in labor relations and Learning/Development, in accordance with hotel standards.
Drive development initiatives of all associates through personalized training programs, new member onboarding, series of specific Rosewood Programs that focus on different aspects of service reflecting our “ways we work’” service philosophy:  intuitive, engaged and refined.
Facilitate all Rosewood Hotels and Resorts learning initiatives, city/state/federal mandates training, and hotel specific learning initiatives with a focus on service standards and maintain accurate records of participants in each session.
Establish personalized development plans utilizing some of the most highly accredited institutions such as Harvard Manage Mentor series of online management skills learning modules, Rosewood executive committee members participate in eCornell training to obtain Cornell University’s Executive Leadership Certificate.
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
Design and maintain communication venues (i.e. intranet site, electronic/bulletin boards, e-mail teasers, social media, etc.)
Manage/organize/facilitate/design training and development programs maximizing participation levels of all associates.
Conduct training needs analyses, develop and implement departmental training plans and measure success.
Support managerial introductory and annual Key Performance Objectives and Personal Development Plans ensuring plans are effectively communicated and achievable.
Develop and distribute monthly training calendar.
Coordinate trainers needed for various programs utilizing designated departmental trainers.
Ensure progressive discipline procedures; monitor compliance with such; conduct counseling sessions with employees; ensure documentation and placement of records in employees' files.
Actively participate in Labor Relations including negotiations and arbitrations.
Coordinate employee relations programs/activities.
Maintain confidentiality and security of employee and hotel records.
Attend designated meetings.
Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and employee morale.
All other duties as required.

Job Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years’ experience as Human Resources Manager/Generalist preferably in a luxury environment. Hotel training and operations experience also desirable. Experience managing in a union environment preferred, 
EDUCATION: College degree in relatable field preferred 
GENERAL SKILLS: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data. 
TECHNICAL SKILLS: Knowledge of government labor regulations; knowledge of employee benefits processing; computer literate; ability to present training programs to employees. MS Office, Video and social media programs. 
COMMUNICATIONS: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred. 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENS: Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 20 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
