Job Summary

The PBX Supervisor is responsible to provide guidance and leadership andensure consistent quality of customer service is provided to all guests in accordance with Hiltonstandards.

What will I be doing?
  • Assign and instruct PBX Operators in details of work.Observe performance and encourage improvement.
  • Manage phone operations by completing a checklist of importantdaily tasks, determining room and rate availability and making decisions thatare in the best interest of the hotel.
  • Assist Guest Service Agents, Operators,Reservation Agents, Bell Attendants and other departments with any questions orrequests.
  • Resolve customer complaints by conducting thorough researchof the situation and the most effective resolution. Authorize revenueallowances to remedy problems only after alternative solutions have beenoffered.
  • Prepare and conduct daily pre-shift meetings, communicateeffectively with all staff and provide them with any information necessary toprovide guest service in accordance with Hilton standards.
  • Monitor performance of staff with performance evaluationsand discipline issues. Make recommendations for training related issues when inconsistenciesdevelop within the team.
