Job description

As Head Kitchen Porter, you will be responsible for assisting the Head chef and Kitchen Team with the cleaning of the kitchen and wash up areas. She/He works diligently and has very high standards of cleanliness. A Head Kitchen Porter is required to complete basic tasks in a kitchen including duties such as cleaning, washing up and basic food preparation. He/She is a team player with positive energy who enjoys discipline as well as working in a fast-paced environment. The ability to inspire the team, a can-do attitude and a great sense of humour are essential to this role.

Requirements

Key responsibilities include

• Collecting and cleaning pots, pans, plates, crockery and cutlery items
ensuring that key items are always washed and available when required
• Cleaning duties including mopping the floor, taking out the garbage and
fully disinfect food preparation surfaces at the end of the shift
• Tending and maintaining dishwashers as well as the responsible handling of
cleaning chemicals
• Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Be flexible and work as a team player to ensure that operations are always
as efficient and profitable as possible
• Strictly adhering to health and safety procedures
