FINANCIAL RETURNS
• To proactively review and implement accommodation, meeting room rate
and volume controls on a weekly and monthly basis.
• To oversee the daily inventory control.
• To observe rate parity agreements with 3rd party distribution sites.
• To chair weekly BDM’s where pricing and availability controls are agreed for
defined periods.
• To agree and regularly review transient and group pricing and demand
calendars with the Group Head of Revenue.
• To use knowledge of the local hotel market to produce and maintain hotel
forecasts.
• To prepare the budget / revenue plans in conjunction with the Head of
Revenue and Sales Director.
• Work towards maintaining a forecasting accuracy of +/- 3% of plan revenue
figures.

PEOPLE
• To work with the Front Desk teams to ensure strategies are in place to
maximize room occupancy.
• To ensure full exploitation of the Opera property management system.
• To regularly review the units MICE diary management to
ensure that all revenue maximization opportunities are being realized
• To liaise with 3rd party market managers to ensure that desired market
shares are being realized.
• Review client production monthly and agrees appropriate actions with the
Sales Director.

GUEST EXPERIENCE
• Provide guests with information (example: loyalty programs, area
attractions, restaurants, facility information) to enhance the guest
experience
• Communicate to appropriate departments all pertinent information
requirements and special needs for arriving VIP’s, large groups and other
key guests
• Identify opportunities to communicate on a regular basis to Marriott loyal
customers

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS
• To produce daily pick up reports and once produced, these reports are
analysed and any necessary actions taken.
• To produce and review month end revenue reports and provide critical
analysis on performance versus forecast and results of implemented
strategies.
• To review GDS share reports and booking pace reports and apply strategy
changes when needed.
• To conduct displacement analysis of group business as needed to
determine the impact potential business will have on RevPar.
• To generally analyse all past and present trends and apply necessary
changes for future strategies.
• To review all competitive shops daily and identify trends and revenue
maximization opportunities.
• To regularly review demand calendars and maintain historical data on
events and promotional periods.
• Identify demand troughs and peaks and adjust strategies accordingly.
• To drive hotel fair market share performance among each units'
competitive set.
• To ensure that the focus remains on commercial objectives set as part of
the business plan.
• To ensure that cost of sales of the various distribution channels are always
kept in track to ensure profitability levels.

Perform other duties as assigned. Will also serve as a manager on duty, as per the property roster.

About you

- 3 years experience leading an individual hotel revenue team, including
practical experience working in a hotel revenue environment and previous
management of reservations and revenue.
- Major brand experience in revenue management preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends.
- Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in related field.
- Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred.
