Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Fairmont Gold Assistant Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Provide excellence in guest service, always responding to guest requests and concerns in a personal, prompt and courteous manner with the ability to think “outside the box”
  • Demonstrate a commitment to provide warm, anticipative service to exceed the needs and expectations of our discerning guests
  • Ensure F&B Standards are adhered to on a daily basis while continually raising the bar of service excellence
  • Prepare the buffet for breakfast and evening service
  • Clear and reset lounge tables
  • Maintain the buffet throughout service
  • Assemble the honour bar and beverage area
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the lounge for our guests
  • Keep the pantry area clean and organized
  • Develop and maintain strong guest relationships to ensure Fairmont Gold loyalty
  • Ability to work without Supervision, and be able to work on your feet for 8 hours a day.
  • Flexible schedule must be available for shift work including weekends, mornings, and evenings
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous food and beverage experience preferred
  • Previous guest service experience in a luxury hotel
  • Diploma in Hospitality Management an asset
  • Experience with telephone etiquette
  • Experience with decision making and problem solving
  • First aid certification an asset
  • Pro-Serve certification
  • Legal ability to work in Canada

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): 

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
