Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Winter Equipment Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

·       Provide exceptional guest service at all times for both internal and external guests to create the safest and most enjoyable experience possible.

·       Ensure the safety of self, co-workers, and guests at all times by following all company and department safety policies and procedures.

·       Provide guests with information about our offerings, as well as other resort information (directions, prices, etc.).

·       Perform all rental and retail duties, including opening, cash handling, and closing procedures, running reports, locating and processing customer information.

·       Fit equipment for guests including ski binding calibration.

·       Provide guests with basic instruction on skates, cross-country ski, downhill ski, snowboards, and snowshoes.

·       Monitor telephone and email communications and responding to guest requests in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.

·       Conduct equipment, and facility maintenance as required.

·       Exhibit punctuality and time management skills while completing assigned tasks.

·       Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations as well as accidents or incidents to the immediate supervisor(s) without delay.

·       Contribute to team effort by participating in job sharing, accepting diverse assignments, and maintaining a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years rental experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required
  • Retail experience considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with winter equipment strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with guests of all ages in the guest service industry.
  • Knowledge of the local area and Lake Louise ski resort is an asset.
  • Extensive customer service experience, ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people.
  • Fluent in all aspects of the English language a requirement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Experience with Ski Rental software and inventory an asset.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours.
  • Must be able to lift, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently.
