Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Outlet Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
  • Perform kitchen duties such as peeling and cutting vegetables, preparing pizza dough, working the line and cooking food orders
  • Adhere to standardized recipes and specifications in order to maintain consistency and quality
  • Maintain clean and orderly work stations
  • Ensure opening and closing procedures are conducted according to Fairmont standards
  • Monitor and minimize overproduction and food waste
  • Operate kitchen equipment, adhering to safety procedures at all times
  • Ensure that food production, handling, and storage are in accordance with food safety guidelines
  • Report any equipment maintenance concerns or food quality issues to the Outlet Manager
  • Maintain an accurate cash float
  • Take food orders and serve guest in store and by phone
  • Greet all customers in polite and friendly manner
  • Respond to customer inquiries/concerns in an effective manner and escalate issues to the Outlet Manager as required
  • Adhere to all relevant hotel environmental policies and initiatives
  • Assist with food deliveries as required, by driving and distribute orders to customers
  • Assist in other areas of the Food and Beverage division as required

Qualifications:

  • 1 year Food preparation and culinary experience required
  • Knowledge and experience with commonly used industrial kitchen equipment a strong asset
  • Must have a valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent) and must obtain a current driver's abstract free of any serious demerit points
  • Experience handling cash and use of Micros or other POS an asset
  • Display high level of initiative and require minimal

Visa Requirements: Applicant must  hold the proper work authorization to be eligible to work in Canada.
