Spa Attendant

Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of Spa, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and report deficiencies of all equipment
  • Prepare rooms for treatments according to specified guidelines
  • Cross-train on spa desk duties to cover breaks and vacation
  • Maintain the facility in peak sanitary condition at all times              
  • Maintain locker rooms in a tidy manner
  • Check and clean lockers when needed
  • Maintain toiletries in locker room vanities
  • Maintain linen inventory with laundry on a scheduled basis
  • Direct members/guests to appointments and assist them in every way possible
  • Ensure stocking of all spa amenities and toiletries
  • Attend daily/weekly/monthly facility operations departmental communications meeting
  • Adhere to facility operations departmental emergency procedures/safety manual
  • Ensure guest/member satisfaction at all times by ensuring that safety and service is always the Spa's first priority
  • Ensure operations department maintains a positive relationship with all departments in the spa and hotel
  • Ensure the facility is in peak condition at all times (operations and cleanliness)
  • Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in spa or hospitality industry
  • First Aid and CPR – Basic Rescuer certificate
  • Physically fit and able to work well under pressure
  • Able to push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to bend and kneel with comfort
  • Able to speak/read/write in English
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
 
Physical Aspects of Position (includes but are not limited to): 
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
