Food & Beverage Coordinator

As a Food and Beverage Coordinator with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. Your attention to detail and passion for guest service will assist the leadership team in driving outstanding operating results
 

Hotel Overview:  Known as the islands only all-suite oceanfront resort, the hotel is situated on Polo Beach in the world-class, master-planned destination of Wailea, on the south western coast of Maui. Here's an opportunity to join Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, a luxury hotel brand recognized worldwide for distinctive style and service.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Creation and submission of Purchase Orders for division operating supplies
  • Manages division checkbook and tracking of line item expenses
  • Ensures invoices for operating supplies and services are processed for payment
  • Coordinates menu and pricing changes for hotel venues
  • Assists with handling guest concerns
  • Maintains training records for the F&B division
  • Manages incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Coordinates month-end expense accruals 
  • Assists F&B leadership with expense forecasting 
  • Compiles and distributes division meeting minutes
  • Follow all policies, procedures and safety standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous Food and Beverage administrative experience recommended, preferably in a branded, luxury hotel
  • Previous Point of Sale System experience recommended
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest and colleague needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

 

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Frequent walking, standing and sitting throughout shift
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
