Revenue Manager


Hotel Overview: Since 1907, The world-renowned flagship Fairmont has served as the San Francisco residence for U.S. presidents, world leaders and entertainment stars.  The landmark hotel offers 606 guest rooms and suites, three distinctive restaurants, a health club and easy access to the city’s most popular attractions. Summary of Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Director of Revenue Management, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:      


  • Provides strategy information at the hotel's daily operations meetings.

  • Generate Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reports, as needed.

  • Prepares and presents a weekly 14-day rooms forecast.

  • Provides guidance, delivers strategy to, and maximizes revenue derived from on-property reservations team.

  • Provides input and projections at Rate Strategy meetings, Sales meetings, and Rooms Division meetings.

  • Assists with 30, 60, and 90 day forecast of projected rooms revenue

  • Monitor changes in inventory and provide guidance on the impact of current strategies.

  • Monitor group blocks and assess risk, while making strategy recommendations.

  • Coordinates the implementation of selling strategies.

  • Tracks demand in the area, and recommends selling strategies to maximize revenue.

  • Implements new techniques, strategies, and new technology to maximize departmental productivity.

  • Communicates effectively between Sales, Convention Services and Front Desk.

  • Assist in ancillary revenue management projects, such as food & beverage RM and function space FM.

  • Other duties as assigned.




  • Previous leadership in hospitality is required.

  • Previous revenue management experience is an asset.

  • The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years’ experience in Front Office, Reservations, Sales or Revenue Management.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel specifically).

  • Strong knowledge of Opera Sales & Catering, Property Management System, and CRS.

  • Working knowledge of various Internet Reservations Systems.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Strong analytical approach to problem solving.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks under time constraints is key to the success of this individual.
