Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director, Sales & Marketing responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Manage all aspects of hotel’s social media including: content strategy, daily posting and engagement, reputation management, generate monthly report, manage paid advertising campaigns
  • Online content management for Fairmont.com, banquet website and other third party sites
  • Work with Regional Digital Marketing team on regional initiatives and property level campaigns relating to e-commerce 
  • Manage purchasing, placement and design of any print and digital advertising for hotel
  • Oversee property specific email marketing campaigns 
  • Design property collateral including: outlet menus, promotional pieces, sales flat sheets, hotel brochures, elevator posters, in-room and front office collateral
  • Work with all departments in the hotel to maintain brand standards through all guest facing communications 
  • Work with Regional Public Relations team on regional and property level PR activities including responding to and hosting media, FAMs, and monitoring analytics 
  • Manage monthly media/promotions budget and forecast 
  • Support F&B team and other departments with event planning and management for annual seasonal events 
  • Work with revenue management to determine need periods and support with tactical marketing
  • Work with operations to develop new and unique offerings to enhance guest experience, drive revenue and create great stories for PR (ex. wellness rooms, bath menus, etc)
  • Contract, create production schedule, and provide onsite support for all video and photography projects
  • Liaise with partnership agencies to ensure maximum exposure for the hotel (Tourism Richmond, Tourism Vancouver, YVR)
  • Various administrative duties
  • Support Director of Sales and Marketing
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Ensure prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external customers
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures 
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned

 

   

Qualifications:

  • Previous leadership experience within marketing required
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and other relevant computer applications required 
  • University/College degree in a related discipline an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with a current work visa or permit. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
