This is no ordinary Hotel and we are looking for no ordinary Receptionist.
You must enthusiastically embrace the philosophy of ‘Everything Matters’(TM). No detail too small or task too insignificant.
Live in accommodation available by arrangement (please note charges apply).

A healthy obsession with outdoor pursuits and rural living would be beneficial given the remote location and island living, together with independent means of transport.
Candidates with a drivers licence will find this advantageous in this location.
Islay: Close enough to stay connected yet far enough away to be independent.

- £9.00 per hour for 40 hour week (Circa £18,720 per annum)
- Available by arrangement. Static Mobile Home located in Hotel grounds (max 2 sharing) with shower room, lounge and kitchen at £40 per week inclusive of heat, light and power or room in shared house off site at £45 per week. Off site accommodation only suitable for those with independent means of transport.
- Uniform Provided; Free Meals whilst on duty: 28 days annual paid holiday (including Bank Holidays); Discounts within Hotel Outlets and Accommodation: Hotel Discounts at CGH Sister Hotels and partner properties; Free entry in Islay Distilleries for Team Members of The Machrie; Share of Gratuities payable monthly (Non Management Personnel only).

About you
Demonstrate a passion for excellence
Have a good understanding of Front Office Systems - Booking & Billing
Skilled, willing and adaptable enough to work across both Reservations and Reception
Be well organised, a strong communicator and reliable Team Player
Show passion for Customer Service and delivering an exquisite Customer experience
Have a flexible approach to working patterns
Remain calm and confident during periods of high pressure
Have a track record of success within a similar 4 star deluxe / 5 star Hotel property
Be self motivated and keen to learn
Take pride in the personal appearance
Be able to demonstrate high levels of personal integrity and discretion
Possess a vibrant, welcoming and engaging personality
Experience with Jonas and / or Protel would be advantageous
This is a role which requires flexibility to work shift patterns of early (circa 7am - 3pm) and late (Circa 3pm - 11pm) based on a 40 hour week, working 5 days over 7, to include weekends in rotation with other team members.
