Job description

If you are passionate about hospitality and have experience as a Events Executive Chef or Senior Head Chef then we want to hear from you.

As a Events Executive Chef you will:

Plan and direct food preparation across the allocate Events kitchen
Review staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met
Actively be involved in menu development and maintaining updated and accurate costings of all dishes prepared and sold in the F&B operation
Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards and maintaining 5* food hygiene rating
Ensure all equipment in the kitchen is properly maintained and in working order
Trains, develops and motivates Chefs to meet and exceed food preparation standards
Teach preparation according to defined standards and takes a pro-active approach to constantly improving the food offering and ensuring food safety standards
Display exceptional leadership by providing a positive working environment, demonstrating a dedicated and professional approach to management, with a focus on staff retention and development
Provide direction and leadership for all day to day kitchen operations
Provide guidance and direction to Head Chefs, including setting standards, performance goals and monitoring performance
Use interpersonal and communication skills to lead and influence kitchen staff
Be responsible for overseeing Kitchen Apprentices ensuring all standards and learning objectives are achieved
Promote and encourage Chef participation in Cook House and Learning and Development initiatives
Ensure all line chefs complete Food Safety Level 2 and all Head and Sous Chef complete Food Safety Level 3

Essential

Proven working experience as a Head Chef or in a Senior Leadership role within a kitchen
Food Safety Level 3

Originally a bank, the Grade- 1 listed building has been developed and restored to hold 252 hotel bedrooms, twelve restaurants and bars, a members club, a gym, Cowshed spa and two swimming pools, as well as six dedicated event spaces.
