The Food & Beverage Manager will be assisting in the management of all stewarding operations to include, but not limited to, inventory management, maintenance of sanitation and cleanliness standards, systems management, budget and forecasting, health inspections, safety initiatives, , report generation, department management, meeting participation and facilitation, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls and overall profitability.
We are looking for a candidate who is able to work primarily 2nd shift hours.
What will I be doing?
A food and Beverage Manager at the Palmer House is responsible for organizing and managing the activities of the Food & Beverage departments, including but not limited to the Kitchen, Banquet Operations, Restaurants, Back of house and Bars (if applicable), to maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and insure outstanding customer service in the hotel''s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Specifically; you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Plan and direct all functions of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation.
Prepare, assign and delegate responsibility and authority for the operation of the various food and beverage sub departments.
Develop, implement, and monitor schedules for the operation of all food & beverage outlets to achieve a profitable result.
Responsible for ensuring food service equipment is secure and maintained in proper order
Maintain control over inventory of china, glass and silver
Recommend new operating and marketing policies whenever a change in demand, customer dissatisfaction, or a change in competitive environment requires such changes.
Insure compliance with all Hilton Hotels policies and procedures that relate to food and beverage, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations
Hire, train, supervise, develop, discipline, counsel, and evaluate line employees according to HHC policies and procedures.
