About the job

As Conference & Events Sales Manager, you will hunt for new business, manage current accounts and analyse local/ international market trends to execute strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
• Analyse local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads
• Develop customer accounts to drive business, to increase market share in all revenue streams
• Negotiate room rates/packages with corporate clients
• Contract new prospect accounts in the MICE segment in order to achieve hotel revenue targets.
• Perform site inspections and bookers presentations for accounts and prospects. Organize fam trips and travel to tradeshows to represent the hotel.
• Weekly and Monthly updates on account development, lead generation and prospecting via sales reporting tools.
• Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the DOSM to include the reporting of appointments, calls made and business leads
• Cooperate with other departments in the hotel, Commercial, Operations and Administration, to create an exceptional Guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs

About you

A MICE Sales Manager is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, experience and values that follow:
• Has a minimum of 2 years sales experience in the hospitality industry.
• Positive attitude, creative, enthusiastic and good communication skills
• Ability to work well under time pressure and/or demanding travel schedules
• Has analytical skills, is eager and is result driven.
• Has domestic and main GOB market knowledge
• Focus on new accounts acquisition (hunting) as well as in managing and developing effective relationships with current clients (farming).
• Has excellent knowledge of the French, Dutch and English language in both oral and written communication.
• Has extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and preferably Opera
• Team spirit, friendly
• Driver's license
  • Languages required: English, French, and Dutch.

The President Brussels Hotel is a 4* property with 296 rooms, 20 meeting rooms and a unique private garden of 3000m². It also benefits from high speed Wi-Fi, a breakfast restaurant, a Mediterranean bar and a restaurant with a garden view and a terrace.
The hotel is easily accessible by public transportation as it is located 500m from North train station with international connections, a direct train to/from the airport and a metro/tram stop going straight to the city centre. By car, the hotel is at 20 minutes to the airport and to the highway. It is also close to famous convention centres like Tour & Taxis, Square and Brussels Expo.
