The Assistant Head Butler performs key functions of the F&B and room’s management operations, administration and training for all staff working in this department. Focuses on all aspects of the management taking in consideration customer needs, and prevailing trends. The Assistant Head Butler interfaces with the Head Butler and Director of F&B to report on operational and personnel issues as well as updates and changes made to staffing, service sequences, promotions, events, challenges and successes. Needs to maintain excellent relations and communications with Departmental Teams as well as all other hotel departments



-  Provide a professional, advisory and executive support service to the Director of F&B to assist in meeting the strategic goals of the F&B and rooms division-  Monitor and review Quality Standards for the Department by conducting regular checks on the floor and butler pantries to ensure standards and consistency are maintained to the highest level at all times-  Ensure operation runs within outlooked financial framework-  To maintain mini bar and room service standards-  Work closely with purchasing department to ensure better products and prices-  To effectively implement the F&B and Rooms Department objectives such as guest service/ satisfaction targets (GSS), financial targets, revenues and profits-  Monitor guest questionnaires and Guest Satisfaction Survey results to identify shortfalls and remedy service issues-  Attend promptly to all guest complaints and requests, resolved and recorded-  Ensures that guest requests and preferences are fulfilled and recorded-  Prepares in conjunction with the F&B Director roster for Butler department according to business needs-  Ensure service standards are consistently reviewed and monitored, and in compliance with St. Regis brand standards-  Conduct regular staff meetings to keep all associates informed of events-  Conduct duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with The St Regis Astana’s policies and procedures, ensuring that the highest level of service and communication is maintained-  To provide an inspiring example, responsibility and resourcefulness by asserting, protecting and demonstrating the core values of the St. Regis commitment to excellence-  Assists in conducting development and performance reviews, identifying key staff members for further development and structured career path-  Implement and maintain training systems to ensure that staff have the necessary framework and skills to perform their job effectively-  In conjunction with Human Resources, ensure effective selection and appointment of new staff members within the department -  Must have a good natured, friendly yet firm and mature personality -  Show good listening skills and fosters two-way communication always keeping an “open door approach” communication style-  Interact with department and hotel staff in a professional and positive manner to foster good rapport, promote team spirit and ensure effective two-way communication-  Must be able to coach and guide the associates in the department to raise their level of motivation and associate satisfaction-  Trains and promotes cross-departmental support within the department’s sections and establishes champions-  Excellent knowledge of hospitality industry, structure of the hotel and the order and the procedure of cooperation of the departments with each other-  Must have the ability to maintain complete confidentiality at all times-  Must have very good communication and negotiation skills, ability to present and persuadeThe person who occupies this position must have experience on the same or similar position not less than two years and have advanced knowledge of the English language
