The Expatriate Tax Department:
  • Works with all business units of the TWDC for individual tax matters;
  • Collaborates with business partners to consult on international individual tax planning, strategies, and budgets, as well as to develop creative solutions to business needs;
  • Oversees Disney’s’ international assignees populations to ensure all of the assignee’s and Company’s tax obligations are met both within in the US and internationally;
  • Partners with Global Mobility Team, HR, Benefit, and Payroll to provide tax advices to ensure key factors are considered when relocating employees on international assignments.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare cost estimate calculations to forecast assignment tax costs
  • Prepare quarterly hypothetical tax withholding calculations for assignees
  • Calculate tax gross-ups
  • Review compensation at year-end to ensure proper reporting
  • Maintain and enhance knowledge of tax laws and developments that affect our international assignee population
  • Special projects as assigned
Basic Qualifications
  • 1-2 years’ experience in individual tax
  • Basic understanding of individual tax
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong team player
  • Highly organized and responsive, attention to detail, desire for accuracy, client focused
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years’ expatriate tax experience
  • SAP experience
  • Knowledge of tax cost projection software
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent
Preferred Education
  • CPA or equivalent preferred
