The Walt Disney World Resort Legal Department is seeking qualified candidates for an Associate Principal Counsel position responsible for Regulatory Compliance and Litigation matters.
  • Providing advice on regulatory compliance, licensing and risk management related matters to various business areas in the Walt Disney World Resort.
  • Managing personal injury and other litigation, as needed, from outset to conclusion, including investigation, drafting and editing, court appearances, and supervision of and participation with outside counsel.
Basic Qualifications
  • A minimum of five (5) years comprehensive experience in handling civil litigation matters in state and federal courts with a concentration in defending product liability and other personal injury matters; trial experience preferred.
  • Candidates with additional experience advising on regulatory matters, such as OSHA and ADA compliance, will be preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be team oriented and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with a solution-oriented approach to legal issues.
  • Self-motivated with outstanding interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate complex issues effectively with all levels of management.
Required Education
  • Law degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to The Florida Bar; candidates not currently admitted to The Florida Bar must be willing to become admitted following hire
Preferred Education
  • Law degree from a top-tier law school
