It is the responsibility of the Credit Analyst to exhibit professional excellence by building customer and department relationships and communicating clearly and responsibly. The Credit Analyst complies with Corporate Policy and Procedures through the completion of credit reviews. The Credit Analyst collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that sales and purchases are credit assessed and evaluations are published in a timely manner. The Credit Analyst ensures that systems containing credit risk information are updated to support accounts receivable reporting, portfolio analysis, bad debt reserves recommendations, and collaboration across the enterprise. Responsibilities Credit Approval and Risk Mitigation
  • Perform credit risk assessments and issue recommendations within approval authority
  • As needed, meet and discuss with customers and business leaders, risk mitigation, which could include Letters of Credit, guarantees, securitization, and/or deal and payment structure

Systems
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • When applicable, update Disney order approval systems as well as internal departmental systems

Reporting
  • Contribute to the completion of monthly and quarterly reports, reserve recommendations, Treasury Rep letter, Global Exposure report, as well as the preparation of credit portfolio reports
  • Update status reports of credit activities to measure performance
  • Prepares ad-hoc reports to support business intelligence activities
Basic Qualifications
  • 1-3 years experience in credit analysis
  • Demonstrated knowledge and advanced skills in Excel or Access
  • Proficient in financial analysis
  • Experience in credit approval of commercial loans in a financial institution is desired
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience communicating customer’s financial performance and providing risk conclusions
  • Training in financial/credit analysis is desired
  • Understanding of bankruptcy law is desired
  • Knowledge of Letters of Credit and other security instruments

  • Strong Team Skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments under extreme time pressure
  • Credit experience with a large company with a large customer base
  • Ability to conduct business presentations
  • Broad knowledge of various business models across a multitude of industries is desired
