Financial Reporting is the organization within Controllership that leads and facilitates the segment’s financial reporting and processes, including the production of all deliverables and supporting analysis for SEC reporting and segment management reporting. In addition, the team has direct responsibility over the financial statement consolidation of the international joint ventures and the individual financial reporting processes for business areas within the Parks & Resorts segment. The team leads analyses of technical accounting issues and partners closely with Corporate Transaction Support to opine on complex accounting positions. Additionally, the team plays an integral role in the planning and forecasting processes.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly ADMIN Financial Statements
  • Assist in the consolidation of the Parks & Resorts Segment financial results and support schedules
  • Prepare Government Reporting for Segment
  • Design and drive innovative new initiatives to increase efficiency and quality of financial reporting and controls throughout the segment and Controllership
  • Perform ad hoc projects in support of the organization and segment
Basic Qualifications
  • 3-5 years experience
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work proactively and independently
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule
  • Demonstrated problem solving, decision making, and continuous process improvement skills
  • Demonstrated partnering, influencing, and communication skills up and down the organizational structure to convey key elements in a concise and positive manner
  • Proven computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Extensive experience with SAP or other Enterprise accounting systems
  • Experience with consolidation of financial results
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Preferred Education
  • MBA, CPA, or equivalent
