About the role
 
The Westin Brisbane & Four Point Brisbane is looking for an engaging and passionate Complex Catering & Events Manager to be a part of a new & exciting opportunity overseeing two properties within the Brisbane Market.  
The Catering & Events Manager is responsible for the Management of the Hotel’s Banquet Revenues ensuring all revenue opportunities are maximised and customer satisfaction assured. In addition, responsible for ensuring the Catering team work towards individual, department and Hotel key performance goals and act as liaison with the in-house Audio Visual partner.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the event planning team responsible for managing all Residential Conferencing, tradeshows, incentive groups, special events and local catering, ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Liaise with Sales Department at point of initial negotiation with client to assist in providing profitable and efficient proposals
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc sales and activity related goals
  • Leads the execution of brand service initiatives in event management areas
  • Develops an Event Management strategy that is aligned with the brand’s business strategy and leads it execution
  • Works directly with major groups when high profile and financial impact will be significant
  • Pre-Requisites
    • 2 years’ similar experience in within a Catering & Events Manager role, preferably within a 5 star Hotel environment
    • Tertiary qualification is advantageous
    • A friendly and engaging personality
    • A passion for hotels & events
