You will be responsible for the end to end business testing process and execution, and continuously improving this as part of the wider risk-based testing approach defined between our Technology and Transformation teams. At TUI we work in an Agile way to incrementally deliver new features and your testing approach will be aligned to this.
As the Business Test Manager – Markets you will look at short and mid-term plans and ensure that you have plans and resources in place to support the end to end business testing execution. You will work closely with the Markets Transformation team, Regional Transformation Teams, Product Owners, Technology teams and operational stakeholders across all TUI markets (UK, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland) to provide a clear overall picture of any issues (production incidents, defects) and their impact to our customers and colleagues.

  • Manage and coordinate all end-to-end business testing activities and lead relevant forums for business testing. 
  • You will matrix manage the business testing resources across markets in line with overall priorities. 
  • Assist in developing the business testing community to improve quality and increase capacity; mentoring and developing Business Testing teams. 
  • Build strong relationships with technology testers and software developers – communicate defects or trends clearly to technology teams, outlining how defects are identified and the possible causes.
  • Make complex issues understandable for all stakeholders – ensure complex issues are analysed and impacts are understood and relevant issues are communicated to relevant stakeholders. 
  • Support the Transformation team in managing colleagues expectations for completion of business testing; managing stakeholder communications; and helping to implement an effective system of reporting and governance. 
  • With direction and support from the Programme Managers, you will be responsible for inputting into the creation of different plan options/scenarios where current plans do not support realisation of planned business outcomes.


  • Good Business Testing experience and knowledge of testing principles preferably in a cross-cultural environment, as part of a programme or transformation. 
  • An Agile mindset – at TUI we are striving to be more agile in how we work and you need to be passionate about modern software testing practices.
  • Qualified Senior Test practitioner with a strong software testing experience and a deep hands-on user acceptance testing expertise at an enterprise wide level.
  • Team player with a collaborative and supportive approach and the ability to challenge, engage and inspire team members, peers and stakeholders.
  • Good communicator with the capability to interact, facilitate and influence a diverse group of stakeholders and satisfy the information needs.
  • Ability to think strategically and commercially: see the bigger picture, analyse complex problems and quickly evaluate options to meet business expectations.
  • Working knowledge of Confluence, Jira and Miro (Test Rail & J-Metre desirable).
