Job description

The Finance Analyst will be providing support to Finance Managers in data inputs, report generation for financial analysis and any ad-hoc activities as part of Planning, Forecasting and Closing cycle Merchandising (Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam) and Regional Publishing. Responsibilities FOCUS
Financial planning and reporting processes
  • Assist Finance Managers/Director with Strategic Planning, Annual budget & Quarterly Forecast P&Ls, Quarterly & Year-end Close reports for Merchandising (Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam) and Regional Publishing
  • Input forecasts and budget in Invision, Cognos
  • Provide and communicate timely, relevant, and precise information to key stakeholders

Closing Activities
  • Analyse performance (tracking revenue & expenses regularly) and provide variance explanations and meaningful and concise commentaries to key stakeholders
  • Interact with Regional team, CARR team and ASC team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information
  • Assist in preparing all monthly and quarterly reports, presentation & schedules required for submission to Regional and other teams
  • Assist in other month end, quarter end and year end closing tasks as required

  • Assist Finance Managers with extraction of financial reports & preparing reporting templates/presentation deck and financial data for business reviews. Support on analyses of financial data may be required
  • Support Contract Admin with contract and invoicing matters
  • Work with Collections & Shared Accounting Team on AR issues
  • Ad hoc projects as required by the Assistant Manager / Finance Managers and Directors
Basic Qualifications
  • At least Diploma holder in Accounting or equivalent, University graduate is preferable
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Finance or Accounting with hands-on experience in financial analysis preferred
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficiency with computer software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Excel., Powerpoint and SAP, Cognos knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Systematic, hardworking and good communication skills
  • Strong organization and analytical skills
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Strong work ethic and ability to handle simultaneous functions
  • Committed, resourceful, meticulous, firm and independent
  • Team player and ability to adapt to change
