Overall Purpose of the Role:

This is a key role in the television marketing team.

The individual would be working closely with the Marketing head and contribute significantly to the planning and execution of key marketing activities for the 8 channels – Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior, Hungama in Kids Genre; Bindass and Bindass Play in the Youth genre and UTV Movies and UTV Action in the Movies genre and any other channels that may launch.
Besides the day-to-day operations on franchise and brand building initiatives the person will be expected to contribute significantly to planning and ideation process.

Responsibilities Areas of Responsibility:
Work closely with the Marketing head to conceptualize and ideate on all the marketing activities that help drive ratings, revenues and imagery for the channel. Ensure successful implementation of all marketing activities within allocated budgets and timelines along with adherence to quality and brand assurance. The various responsibilities include - - Independently conceptualize and execute large scale projects with minimum supervision -Creative facilitation: Work closely with the creative services team and various external agencies on projects to ensure all the communication/creative elements get executed in sync with the marketing brief - Trade Marketing: Develop and implement specific marketing activities targeted at the trade fraternity to inform them of the key channel initiatives. Creating revenue opportunities to support ad sales by customizing specific revenue led marketing promotions - Understanding of television ratings and research to draw conclusions to aid marketing strategy
- Digital Marketing – Ideate and oversee the implementation of Digital plans along with our Digital and Creative partners. Formulating successful social media strategy for all channels and brands.
- Vendor management: Identifying and managing equations with the top quality suppliers who can assist in various areas of core marketing function – Media planning and buying, event management, product merchandise, direct marketing etc. - Budgeting/Financial control: Keep a close tab on monthly accruals and approved project cost sheets to ensure tighter control over budgets. - Market Intelligence: Work out monthly competitive report to ensure that senior management is appraised on the dynamic market news and also for better awareness to prepare strategies that are as competitive and successful.

External and Internal Stakeholders:

The individual will be accountable internally to the Channel Marketing head for all activities across consumer and Trade initiatives.
Basic Qualifications Experience and Professional Qualifications Required:
6+ years, preferably an MBA
Additional Information Skills Required:
Experience in, Television, Other Media, Marketing, client servicing or event management

Required - Exposure to ATL/BTL digital media, social media and on-ground events

Desirable - Exposure to all facets of marketing and brand management

The individual should have demonstrated capability of handling large scale projects independently
