Job description

This role integrates IT Infrastructure and Operations and Media Operations in Israel and is primarily responsible for the provision of IT service delivery for both groups, as well as leading local project / program deliverables or participating in regional program delivery as required
Lead and develop a local team of IT and broadcast analysts to deliver efficient and effective service across technology services.
Act as the primary contact between the business and the Disney IT and Media Operations organizations ensuring all technology & operational requirements and strategies for TWDC Israel will be implemented.
Reporting line is to Paul Weissenberger, Director IT Service Delivery EMEA as well as a dotted line to Guy Carney, Executive Director Disney Channels Israel. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the Israel Branded TV Operations Department on a daily basis,
    overseeing all technical and operational functions both in-house and third party.
  • Ensuring that the highest technical broadcasting standards are maintained and facilitating the smooth running of all technical functions across every department
  • Manage relationship with Intl’ IT teams and third party suppliers for
    FOH/BOH systems
  • Manage relationships with DCVI and DMD affiliates for timely processing and
    delivery of Disney channel content following agreed contractual obligations
  • Lead technical and operational development in order to meet Branded TV objectives in terms of transmission, production & post-production
  • Responsible for daily commercial & contractual relationship with relevant service providers
  • Oversee all technical and quality issues to guarantee that DCs maintains 99.99% minimum quality threshold
  • Responsible for the department’s budget & financial performance of all service contracts
  • Responsible for problem solving/crisis management of any on-air technical issues 24 hours/day, 7 days/week
  • Represent Disney TV interests with internal partners and with third parties on a daily basis
  • Provide direction to implement procedures & processes to improve operational efficiencies
  • Responsible for the implementation of Front of House & Back of House applications
    for Branded TV in relationship with partners in Disney.
  • Work with regional broadcast operations team to ensure system standards are efficiently aligned
  • Responsible for programme material delivery in order to meet transmission and
    on-demand deadlines on Disney Israel linear Channels and Third Party/affiliate non-linear outlets
  • Ensure delivery of IT service standards and excellent IT customer service
  • Maintain and publish documentation for IT and broadcast operation tasks, processes and procedures
  • Ensures that all phases of desktop support, including installations, upgrades, software, hardware, operating systems, and operating system configuration issues, are properly coordinated, monitored, tracked, and resolved.
  • Pro-actively monitor the IT environment to identify issues and problems as early as possible and resolve in a timely manner
  • Liaise with EMEA counterparts to maintain awareness of the wider IT landscape and to ensure International technology alignment.
  • Ensure client technology and service levels meet International IT standards.
  • Ensure international client Information Security standards are met. In particular ensure any third party remote access is managed in accordance with security requirements.
  • Ensure software ownership/licensing records are maintained and that the introduction of any new software follows agreed processes for testing and installation
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field or similar ability by work experience
  • 6+ years of overall experience in IT technology and broadcast
  • Staff management skills
  • Strong communication, analytical, time management, organizational skills and detailed oriented
  • Strategic approach to the function, working with peers and stakeholders
  • Ability to recruit and motivate staff
  • Strong organisational, prioritisation and rigour skills
  • Strong technical skills in broadcast and IT area
  • Excellent diplomacy and communication skills
  • Ability to respect high standards of confidentiality
  • Team player
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented
  • Ability to delegate and monitor progress of team
  • Service oriented
  • Ideally will have ITIL knowledge and a recognised Project Management qualification
