Add to that the tremendous geographical coverage of this region and you have a role which is truly varied. In view of Southeast Asia’s growth, we are now seeking a Senior Manager, Media Distribution. Reporting to the Country Manager as well as to the regional Head of Distribution, this role will need to effectively manage the day to day responsibility for the branded services distribution and program sales function across the entire Disney portfolio (including Studio content, ABC Entertainment, Kids and other genres) in all forms of TV windows (Transactional/Subscription Video On Demand, Pay Per View, OTT, Pay TV and Free TV/DTT) for Indonesia. The role is also responsible for account management of the digital accounts to drive uptake in the TVOD deals.
Job Scope:
  • Fully responsible for delivering the Media Distribution revenue target in Indonesia market.
  • Build and cultivate key relationships with all clients and potential clients of media distribution which includes Telco, FTA, MVPD, DMVPD, local pay television networks including digital operators to advance business goals
  • Working closely with the Country GM and Head of Media Distribution in building a sales strategy for the country to capitalize on revenue opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively within all levels of the organization, including the preparation and presentation of timely and accurate information for management (including internal presentations).
  • Think strategically and develop plans for new business models and deal renewals across all platforms for Program distribution. This includes Traditional (FTA, Pay TV) & Digital Media (mobile and broadband, OTT), VOD (Video on Demand), SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand) and PPV (Pay per View).
  • Think strategically and develop plans for new business models and deal renewals across all platforms for Channel distribution and DMVPD.
  • Understanding of new technology and windows to create a business model that would provide greater long term value for In-Home.
  • Managing company-wide priorities and initiatives with day-to-day job responsibilities.
  • A University degree with at least 6-8 years of relevant sales experience in the local entertainment/media sector. Preferably strong background in the TV/Digital media business.
  • First class track record in operational and commercially focused roles within consumer-facing, preferably international companies.
  • Strong background in deal structures and media contracts.
  • Exposure to US Studios or has channel sales exposure.
  • Good financial modelling and business analysis acumen.
  • Strong understanding of the online and mobile industry and its economics.
  • Knowledgeable of digital business models and applications.
  • Strong sales acumen including pitching and negotiation skills.
  • Charismatic, intelligent with entrepreneurial zeal and the ability to work in a lean, driven environment.
  • Excellent communicator, with strong influencing skills and the ability to work with peers with a command over English language.
  • A goal-oriented mindset and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Excellent PC skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other application.
