The Compliance Audit Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining an audit program for the purpose of monitoring sales and marketing activities to assess retention of company-provided training and adherence to company policies, procedures and standards. The position requires working independently with only moderate supervision, including performing and reviewing monitoring activity, analyzing results, drafting findings and reports for management, and assisting with implementing continuous improvement initiatives. This position also requires frequent driving to sales locations at Walt Disney World and may also require occasional trips to sales locations in California and Hawaii.

  • Directly conduct monitoring/audit activity and oversee such activity by others, such as secret shoppers or other outsourced surveys (30%)
  • Analyze and assess results of audit/monitoring methods, such as secret shopping, surveys, onsite inspections, telephone, audio or video monitoring, etc. (20%)
  • Draft findings of individual behaviors in an audit report for each assessment; analyze and render conclusions on trends and patterns and report these to management (20%)
  • Interact with Sales leaders and partner with Sales Training to provide feedback and guidance on best practices (10%)
  • Work with the Manager - Compliance to develop operating guidelines and other procedures (10%)
  • Distribute periodic reports and recommendations to key stakeholders (10%)
Basic Qualifications
  • 5 - 7 years in financial, compliance or sales operational positions including experience in policy/process development or implementation
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • The ability to succinctly articulate complex concepts and subject matter
  • An understanding of basic research methods and the ability to process and analyze data from a variety of sources and form valid conclusions
  • Experience with project management /process excellence concept
  • Familiarity with appropriate applications for word processing, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to form and maintain effective partnerships with internal clients and peers
  • Ability to understand the business impacts that may result from policies and procedures and be able to assist/advise internal clients toward successful implementation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with assessing training or policy impacts is preferred
  • The successful candidate will excel at working independently with only moderate supervision and possess leadership qualities, including the ability to communicate diplomatically and persuasively to stakeholders at multiple levels within the organization
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other applicable field of study or equivalent
