We Are…
Workforce Management focusing on all aspects of labor management, ensuring that operations are sufficiently staffed to deliver the company’s Guest service standards. Responsibilities of this area include forecasting, workload, headcount planning, scheduling, deployment, pay and reporting.
ResponsibilitiesThe goal of the team is to excel at exceeding expectations of our Walt Disney World Cast who request support through a Call Center environment, receiving ~54k phone calls and ~85k emails/portal requests each year.

  • Providing support for the management of 30+ processes necessary to adequately support the Labor Administration and Time Team components of the Labor Service Center and 90+ audits to correct various system defects and ensure compliance with policy, contracts, and law
  • Interacting with various department Cast and Leaders to develop process improvements for this operation
  • Assisting with testing new enhancements to systems prior to implementation to ensure proper functionality
  • Assisting with developing and maintaining system and process documentation
  • Partnering with appropriate Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Human Resource, Finance, Compensation, DWSS Payroll, Global HR Ops and Information Technology teams as required
Basic Qualifications

What you bring to this role…

  • Experience with object-oriented or interpreted languages including C, C++, C#, Java, and Python

  • Experience in web application frameworks including ASP.NET, Django, JavaEE, or Zend Framework

  • Experience with databases and spreadsheets (Ex. Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or later, Access, Excel)

  • Analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and translate for clients
    Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are January 2018 to June 2018. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Walt Disney World Labor Systems such as CDS, Cast Link, Extra Hours Hotline and Workbrain
  • Proficiency in SAP and Service Center
  • Disney College Program Alumni
Required Education
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program degree at an accredited 4 year college or university as a Junior, or Senior studying Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related program

  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) College or Professional Internship Programs
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must possess a valid US driver’s license
  • Must provide full work availability
  • Must provide own transportation to/from work
  • Must provide a valid current U.S. driver's license?
  • Current Active Disney Cast Members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World Cast Members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland Cast Members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)

Location of position: This position has opportunities in Lake Buena Vista, FL
