Description of the Property:

Description of the Location:
Aspen Snowmass is a luxury winter resort complex located in Pitkin County in western Colorado in the United States. Owned and operated by the Aspen Skiing Company it comprises four skiing/snowboarding areas on four adjacent mountains in the vicinity of the towns of Aspen and Snowmass Village. The four areas collectively form one of the most famous winter resorts in the world and are annually the destination for visitors from all over the world. Snowmass is the largest of the four Aspen/Snowmass mountains, comprising 3,128 acres (1,266 ha). The mountain is most notable for its wide cruiser runs, family-friendly atmosphere, and extensive ski-in/ski-out lodging.

Description of the Training:

The J-1 program creates opportunities for training, development, recognition and most importantly, a place where you can really pursue your passions in a luxury environment. This internship is designed to give you exposure to the Human Resources department and give you the experience needed to excel in your career when you return to your home country.

Description of the Position:
Train in Human Resources department:
• File, track, and process employment applications;
• Communicate to all applicants receiving a job offer the necessary documentation required;
• Audit and coordinate distribution of paychecks;
• Design and update the display and content of employee communication bulletin boards;
• Ensure compliance of all Hotel's standards;
• Assist and support management and the leadership team with handling and resolving Human Resources issues;
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to a manager;
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures;
• Perform all other reasonable duties as needed.

Requirements

• Conversational English required;
• Must be a current student of a Human Resources related post-secondary academic institution;
• Or recent graduate (less than 12 months ago) of a Human Resources related post-secondary academic institution;
• Or a graduate of a Human Resources related post-secondary academic institution (more than 12 months ago,) with 12 months of verifiable related work experience;
• Or must have 5 years of verifiable related work experience.
