Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a VP, Revenue Optimization to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in Parsippany, New Jersey.

Job Summary

The Vice-President of Revenue Optimization is responsible for setting and executing the short-term and long-term total Revenue Strategy for all Wyndham Hotels globally. This critical position in the Revenue Management discipline will oversee strategic analyses of a vast amount of internal and external data, create a point of view of future travel & customer trends in the market, formulate strategies to optimize revenue in that environment, and directly coordinate the execution of these strategies. This includes strategies by market segment, channel, and customer type. This position will also oversee retailing and promotion strategy, including customer messaging and engagement strategy through all direct and third party channels – ranging from small targeted promotions to broad scale Wyndham offers. 

The position will work very closely with the Global Distribution and Connectivity, Sales, Brand Marketing, Digital, Loyalty, and IT teams to execute on Wyndham’s holistic revenue strategy. The success of this position will be measured in KPIs ranging from RevPar Index growth and Channel mix targets, to project completion milestones. Leveraging our current tools, the VP, Revenue Optimization will also ensure our franchisees receive the strategic support necessary, including training, to successfully implement revenue strategies in their hotels. 

The position will report directly to the Group Vice President, Global Revenue Management.

Responsibilities
1    Analyze market conditions through various analyses, formulate a comprehensive revenue and customer strategy for WHR, and execute it with the help of our Operations partners and franchisees to succeed in RPI and Revenue growth across the portfolio    

2    Improve capability of Revenue Management discipline to gain productivity, accuracy, and optimization in implementation of revenue strategies by evaluating current and new tools and functionality

3    Manage vendor relationships in support of SLA’s, product/program enhancements, for data and analytics needed for comprehensive Revenue Optimization strategy    
4    Develop and maintain Analyses and Success Metrics, ROI measurement.    RM, EC, IT, Finance    10%
5    Keep abreast of changing and evolving business solutions in hospitality and across related industries that would improve efficiency, maximize revenue or profit, and capitalize on synergies.    

Scope/Financial Responsibility

This position will directly impact the revenue performance of WHR brands and properties.  These results will be visible as top-line revenue growth and growth in Market Share.  This will contribute to the overall performance of the portfolio and therefore the portfolio’s contribution to the system in terms of EBIDTA derived from royalties, other fees, and marketing funds.  The financial scope also involves managing an operating budget and influence on capital budgets. Revenue Optimization team members will report to the individual in this position

Education & Experience

•    Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, Business, Statistics, Marketing, Finance, IT or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Master’s Degree Preferred
•    8+ years of progressive work-related experience in hotel revenue management, yield management, consulting, customer engagement/strategy or analytics. 
•    Strong knowledge of distribution channel management, Hotel PMS / CRS and revenue management systems, and Microsoft Office applications, including knowledge and experience in hotel pricing concepts, yield management optimization, and selling strategies. 
•    Knowledge of customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and lifetime value maximization
•    Analytical – Ability to review numbers and draw quick conclusions about past and future trends from data. 
•    Ability to communicate business needs to the Business Intelligence Group.
•    Revenue Management – Thorough understanding of revenue management or yield management concepts and processes. While hospitality experience is ideal, translatable skills from another industry practicing revenue management with the understanding of segmentation, optimum business mix is
