•Welcome guests with smiles and escorting them to their tables. •Present menu to the guests, suggest food and beverages to them and try to up sell. •Take food and beverage orders and repeat orders, ensuring that the guest gets the right order. •Share your menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special request. •Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. •Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff. •Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware. •Complete mis-en-scene and mis-en-place before the shift commences. •Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters; take them to kitchen for cleaning. •Deliver guest’s bill and thank them for dining with us.
