Passionate about Finance, I am currently a Accounts Receivable clerk having initially started out as an 6 month finance intern before being promoted twice.

Until present time, working for Penha longa, a Ritz-Carlton hotel has given me a solid knowledge in the accounting principles applied to the hospitality industry, specifically Accounts Receivable, General Cashiering and Income Auditing.

With a strong interest in managing the AR portfolios, I was able to recover over 30,000 EUR of bad debt invoices during the reconciliation of various credit accounts.
My hospitality background has proved helpful and effective while communicating with external clients while preforming my duties which allowed me to develop a strong relationship with our suppliers.

While my current position has proven to be challenging especially during High Season, I was able to successfully adapt and never miss a deadline.

My short term goal is to continue my growth in the finance sphere whether it is within the Hospitality industry or any other industry before pursuing my MBA.

    Responsibilities: - Processing of credit applications, including follow-up with credit references. - Performing AR account reconciliation (recovered over 20,000 EUR of bad debt invoices). - Running the monthly credit meeting with all the resort Directors. - Timely collection of past due invoices, resolving customer disputes while developing strong customer relationships. - Managing day-to-day operations of all AR transactions including posting and depositing payments - Supporting month end closing process. - Responding to customer financial queries (through phone & email) - Credit Card Reconciliation - Daily control and posting of received payments. - Assisting colleagues within the Accounts department (Income Auditing, Cashiering etc.) - Conducting monthly inventories in all F&B revenue centers.
