Hi, my name is Emily Sciberras. I'm currently an ITS (institute if tourism studies) student studying in the Events and leisure course. Apart from this i am currently working at the Westin Dragonara Resort, as a supervisor at their fine dinning restaurant. I’m dependable and detail-oriented. I take my job seriously and once assigned a task, will see it through to completion. I’m comfortable adjusting to any situation and don’t get flustered easily when faced with unexpected challenges. My main ambition in my professional life is to be working within management in the catering industry.

    After being a waitress at Westin for slightly over a year, I was promoted to supervisory position in the fine dinning restaurant. This position was supposed to be for my summer placement only, although management was pleased with my work during my 3 month summer placement and decided to allow me to continue as a supervisor within the outlet. The responsibilities that were given to me consist of hosting and seating people, doing requisitions, cashing, over looking functions which were booked in the restaurant examples: small seated or standing weddings, company parties, reception style functions ect.. When needed i would take orders or serve food and beverage. being a supervisor has given me the opportunity to meet and communicate with a variety of nationalities and cultures.
