  • E-Sports Team Leader

Ensidia, Archetype, Echoes, AnG - Hebron, KY, United States

    Other
    July 2007 - July 2018 · 11 years and 1 month

Working as an E-sports Team leader to ensure goals were met during competition time. Establishing the ESL (Electronic Sports League) for example ESL Nordic, courtesy of Brand Management and an ever growing industry surrounding professional level games competitions. Roster Management (Teams of 4-100 individuals, all under my command). Incentive and Motivation, ensuring everyone is on the same page going into competitions. Playing to win, where losing is no longer an option and stakes are high. Recruitment, Advertisement and Generation of Funding through sponsors for events. Interviewing candidates, trialling through probationary periods and providing monthly reviews. Web Development and Networking for our Brands. Ensuring we have a usable and approachable website, with plenty of online presence to generate interest in our field. Competing against rival brands, for their sponsors, for their team-mates and ultimately to secure success. Generation of Media and Damage control during times of difficulty, and ensuring a continuous professional image is projected by myself and all other members of the Roster. Formulation of strategy, itinerary and rigorous planning for breaks and most optimised usage of time during event periods. Leading from the front and by example, as the E-Sports Team Leader whilst it was my job to discipline and ensure everyone stuck to their targets, I was still a functioning member of the team and had to do all of this myself. From 2007 until around 2010/2012 E-sports was a largely unnoticed industry, and thanks to people like myself and other key players within the world of Professional Gaming, we were able to bring forward the popularity, using my Company as an initial sponsor and other online outlets for free advertisement, we were part of the evolution of Gaming, allowing for huge arenas now to be packed out, massive corporations now involved in the sponsorship and coverage of competitions, and ultimately a thriving industry.
