I had an opportunity to receive six years of secondary education in South Korea and the precious time and amazing people I met in South Korea guided me here to the University of Guelph. I can guarantee that I will never quit at any difficulty. This is because learning two additional languages made me feel confident to do so.
From personal experience of learning languages and growing up in a different country, recently my friends and I have started to support students by writing a blog. It is for people who have interest in studying abroad or wish to attend a university in a different country. The passion to support and to make connections guided us to start a blog.
I define myself as a third culture kid. There is myself who hesitates to define my nationality. There was a certain time when I doubted who I am and where am I from. However, after I mastered three languages I feel very connected with people from all over the world. Now I am proud of myself and have accepted myself to be a third culture kid.
