    Hotel Flora has various types of F&B service, such as a-la-carte for group or private guests, buffet service for group or private guests, and conference service. For that reason, teamwork and communication are important for the working efficiency and grab the customer satisfaction. I acquired how to support the team member and how to deal with the guests in stress.

    I was training the hotel operation in F&B, reception, and housekeeping department at the small hotel. Thus, I thought that it could a chance to learn in the different departments. At first, I was getting familiarized with the task of the housekeeping department. It helped me to understand the structure of the hotel and to know the preparation for the guests' requirements such as which room is a twin room or a double room. Secondly, I train the F&B department. I think that F&B department is serving to the guest, cleaning table, and setting up tables. However, F&B department needs to clean not only table but also the whole restaurant for maintaining the hygiene and providing cleanness service. Lastly, I train about reception tasks. I believed that the role of reception is only managed the guest but I realized that reception is head of the hotel. For instance, managing the guest, condition of the rooms, finance, and operation of the hotel. I learn that all departments need to cooperate to operate the hotel and they are connected.

    I took F&B service class in BHMS. I learned how to prepare the restaurant as setting up the table and setting up the beverage section and buffet and I learned how to take the order and serve to the customers. Thus, I tried to understand how F&B team and kitchen staffs working together. At first, It was hard to handle the plates at once and serve to the guests, but it was getting easy and enjoy the process of class.

    I am still ongoing this course. I do not have any knowledge of hospitality, but my classmates have helped me and I am efforting to know this industry. Especially, MBA course has more presentation or discussing in the classes than the other courses, so I learn how to present properly and the presentation activity trained me as having a professional attitude during the presentation. MBA program consists of 2 theoretical semesters and practical studies and 2 internship periods. During the first semester, I learned basic knowledge of business and concept of hospitality. For instance, I tried to manage the unreal company on the online. I needed to concern the competitors and customers' interest in my products by the price of products or period of launching new products. It helps me to understand what if business approximately. In addition, I am learning how the theory applies to the real life and what practical skills I need to know for operating hotel and restaurant. This practical opportunity helps me to understand the new knowledge constructively.

    I took a secondary education course in Cebu. Every educated condition was different with Korean, such as wearing a uniform, teaching method. After taking theory course for 3 years, I have to take an Internship or practical course for 6 months. It was quite hard to communicate with the students because the students were using local language and they had lack of English skill, even if I was handling the English subject. However, It was getting used to it, and I knew how to teach the student with communication problems. Moreover, my colleagues and mentors were helping me to control or adjust the classes.

  • Practical Music

    Practical music course is learning how to play the specific musical instrument and how to make a harmony with a various musical instrument. My major musical instrument was drum and minor was a jazz piano. Moreover, we have lack of members who were playing the musical instrument than vocalis, so I need to perform most of the songs for the vocalists. While I was learning the musical instrument I was taking an education course. Thus I got a job opportunity teaching the high school students how to play the drums. Therefore, I must arrange my schedule efficiently for my individual practicing time, a group practicing time and part-time working. Consequently, I acquired the time management skill, the managing the under pressure situation, and the stress management.
