Reservations Assistant Manager

Reservation Department/Revenue Management. During this 6 month internship I worked side by side with the Reservations Manager, during my first month I stayed in the Reception in order to learn the PMS Opera and understand the way the clients are greeted, and how the reservations appear in the mentioned Property Management System. After completing my first month I moved to the Reservations Department where I learnt during my first weeks how to update reservations from Online Travel Agents and what data was required in order to have a fully valuable reservation, I also started to pick up the phone and negotiating with our customers. During the next months, responsibilities came, I started making decisions on the price of the rooms, always with the approval of our Revenue Manager, when to or not to sell the available rooms, and benchmarking with our direct competitors. At the end of this internship I was considered a fully capable employee and all the objectives I had at the start of this internship were accomplished.

Room Service Depatment, Chef de Rang/Assistant Maitre D This second internship in the room service department taught me how to manage a team in the hospitality world, I took care from the training of all new colleagues until talking with the Maitre D on whether or not they were ready to do a service by themselves. I also did some documents to help the training of the stuff such as wine pairing, easier interphase for them to learn faster and help them with the languages they didn't control yet. Overall this was my first managerial experience where big responsibilities were given and I think I accomplished them succesfully.

Brasserie de Grand-Chêne Department. Started my internship in the "Garde de Manger" position translated as "cold starters", during the first 3 months i've done mostly mise en place and the easiest dishes. After that, I've completed the more complex dishes and move over the hot dishes sector of the kitchen where I cooked different meats and fish and most of the garnitures.
