During my 11 years in the Hospitality industry I feel I have become very customer focused and key to this is communication. Having worked for eleven years in world-class establishments, including JW Marriott and Westin, I bring very solid experience and knowledge. As the guest service manager for the most luxurious hotel in Kuala Lumpur, I have been the personal host to very high profile officials, diplomats, business leaders and other public personalities. This has allowed me to master all aspects of protocol, class and manners. I have come to know how to be comfortable around VIPs, to make them feel at ease and to earn their trust. In doing so, I have forged solid relationships and they all recognize me on a first name basis, which has allowed retaining and increasing their business.
I am extremely result-oriented and focused, which earned me several promotions and awards over the years. I have a demonstrated track record of improving operational efficiency and increasing revenue significantly. As VIP lounge manager at Marriott, I increased profits by 25% to 35% by dramatically increasing revenue and improving customer satisfaction. One of my definite strength is up-selling; which I have been called to train other staff on several occasions and has earned me Starwood's best up-selling award.
My knowledge of world culture is extensive and I can speak several languages and dialects, including most common Asian languages as well as English.
