My name is Melissa Tofani, I am a graduate in Hospitality business management.
I am an Italian national but came to England in October 2014 to study after working the summer holiday season in the Tuscan region of Italy. I have been working in hospitality since young age and have a real passion for the sector. Having a lively personality I have found the hospitality industry is best suited for me.
I have worked in hotels and restaurants and feel the skills I have learnt are invaluable to my future success in the industry. I thoroughly enjoyed my degree course and have found additional skills and language development of real benefit to me and my progression. My previous employments at “Purnell’s Restaurant” in Birmingham and Simpsons have allow me to gain experience in one of my biggest passions: fine dining
and wines, as a matter of fact I am also completed the sommelier education path. This, my previous jobs and the education at UCB gave me essential knowledge of the British hospitality sector and it is for this reason I wanted to study in the UK.
I feel that working in the international hospitality scene would help me grow professionally and enhance my prospects for future employability. I feel that I could bring my enthusiasm and passion to the work environment and gain essential industry experience.
