Arabic Language Teacher/Headteacher
Arab cultural Association - London, United KingdomManagementSeptember 2003 - July 2009 · 5 years and 11 months
My first permanent job in the UK came as a result of volunteer work to begin with at a weekend Arabic school, run by ACCA. I was a teacher for the younger group of learners with ages ranging from 5 - 10. This then developed into permanent role teaching the older group of 10 - 16 year olds as well as the women’s group, eventually leading me to the role of Headmistress and Treasurer. Here I tried out many new and innovative educational activities which I still use to date. I also picked up an extensive amount of HR and administrative skills, such as salaries, annual leave rotas, policies and personal development plans.
