    Having started as a Global Account Coordinator, I was previously in charge of ensuring the adequate handling and conversion of all enquiries generated by the Key and Strategic Global Accounts from UK, Ireland and Scandinavia, for events and city-wide congresses, ranging from 1 thousand to 2 million Euros, in the nearly 400 properties Melia Hotels International manages over the world. After six months, I was entrusted with higher responsibilities and eventually promoted to Global BT & MICE Associate Specialist. In this position, I am in charge of implementing new processes to achieve a more productive and effective working method and consequently increase our team’s conversion. This includes the review of the entire enquiry handling process and the communication with the UK teams, the hotel-based Sales Offices and the other Global Sales Offices in the world. It also entitles the adaptation of these processes to the different needs and changes arriving from HQ and the development and training of the coordination team to adapt accordingly. In my new role, I also assist the Global Account Managers from BT and MICE segments with their accounts and attend different appointments and events to build the relationships in representation of the Global Sales Office. This has led to a more personalised relationship and has helped increase the Melia knowledge among our Managed Accounts.
