Pauline Harper has more than 25 years of experience at senior executive management levels and in leadership roles with international private and not-for-profit organizations. She holds three degrees, one in Common Law (LL.B.), one in Business (Honours B.Com.) and one in Arts (Honours B.A.) from Canadian universities. She is bilingual English/French and has resided in Paris for 20 years.

Since 2010, Ms. Harper is recognized internationally for her efforts aimed at helping reduce and prevent childhood obesity and NCDs through sustainable strategies based on EPODE community based programs for the prevention of childhood obesity with EPODE International Network (EIN), a Brussels-based not-for-profit organization. Since 2015, Ms. Harper is Secretary General for Sustainable Brain Health Institute, a Brussels-based not-for-profit organization for the promotion of brain health.

    With a focus on communication, advocacy and stakeholder engagement, Ms. Harper has developed and managed projects with global public and private multi-stakeholders, including leading international institutions and health organizations, nutrition and physical activity experts, educators, government officials, civil societies and NGOs as well as private sector professionals to advance EIN’s efforts. She has presented EIN’s work across the globe in +10 international conferences annually since 2011. By end 2018, EIN has mobilized key stakeholders in more than 29 countries on 3 continents and supported the work of over 30 community-based programs. Helps define EIN’s vision together with the Board of Directors to ensure alignment of EIN’s strategies with senior global public and private multi-stakeholders in obesity and NCDs prevention. I led EIN’s advocacy and global visibility together with Dr. Jean-Michel Borys, EPODE Founder. • Specifically: I established the EIN structure, drafted and negotiated contracts with partners; developed, coordinated and executed strategic recommendations and comprehensive integrated communication plans and campaigns; global advocacy and speaking engagements in support of key business objectives and desired results; aligned communication and marketing efforts with business priorities within a heavily regulated, policy driven environment; developed pertinent/relevant key messages for target audiences; PR and media relations (initiated and responsive); media pitching for international scientific conference presence; Events (Global Obesity Forum, Regional Obesity Forums etc.) including media events and execution, on-site logistical support, event planning, hotels, catering and audio-visual and booth/promotional companies etc. • Since April 2011, I raised more than 5 500 000 Euros in funding for EIN from private sector partners in support of EIN global and European applied research projects with an additional 3 million Euros from the public sector including the EU Commission. I managed HENKEL, a 20 Million Euro account, as a completely separate business unit within the larger CLM/BBDO agency. I managed MARS, including Sheba and Cesar reinventions, Bounty Calapuno relaunch, Uncle Ben’s « Mariage de Saveurs » new product launch. Clients: MARS - Cesar, Sheba, Whiskas, Frolic, Catsan, Bounty Europe, Uncle Ben’s Europe; HENKEL FRANCE - MIR Couleurs, Laine, Black, Fresh, Somat, Le Chat. Results: Henkel’s Le Chat, Mir and Somat sales increased by 8% in 2002; agency’s remuneration on these accounts grew by 8% in 2002; media investments on these accounts grew by 18% in 2003.
