I am South African born with a British heritage. I have a great interest in other cultures due to travelling and living in different countries growing up. After I completed my high school studies I decided to do a series of courses which had an influence on my direction towards the hospitality sector. I worked as a bartender starting out from the basics and developed better skills to eventually produce cocktails and provide training to new employees on the basics. During these bartending jobs I took on greater responsibilities as time passed such as stock take and bar supervision.
I am looking for positions where I can constantly learn new things.

I was involved in an opening of a new restaurant in the Jake's Restaurant franchise. I worked between the 2 bars available, a service bar and a separate cash bar. In the service bar I continued to improve my coffee skills and in the cash bar I served a variety of cocktails and beers on tap. As I was the longest serving bartender here I eventually started to do a stock take of both bars and signed off on delivery orders made by the General Manager.
