    • Implemented media plans for Abu Dhabi VIP officials and executed culture programmes to promote the UK, and supported active cooperation between the UK and UAE, • Monitored local and international media, produced daily press summary with top headlines news, and highlighted points of concern to the FCO to promote UK-UAE bilateral relationship, • Issued and distributed press releases to the local media, ensured adequate follow-up coverage, liaised with media on story development and disseminated final press evaluation, • Developed strong relationship with local media contacts, in particular, Abu-Dhabi based outlets, and maintained up to date media list, • Supported visits for diplomatic personnel UK visitors such as ministers and senior officials, arranged media interviews and provided press lines with UK core values, • Assisted in official meetings and visits with interpretation as required, note verbale translations and collated biographies of key interlocutors for briefing packs, and • Collaborated with communications team to identify key issues and to message on aspects with guidance from the Press and Public Affairs office when needed. Arranged the trip of the Minister of State for Climate Change Gregory Barker to Abu Dhabi’s main oil and gas show ADIPEC and that of Alan Duncan, Minister of State for International Development, regarding which received a personal thank-you note from him. • Secured media coverage for the Sea Khanjar military exercise that was a particularly complex event. • Generated excellent media coverage on the UK Electronic Visa Waiver scheme to the UAE citizens. • Increased local PR exposure of public diplomacy activities including the UK Movember Awareness Campaign and Breast Cancer fundraising event. Conducted media interviews with the Red Arrows Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team and highlighted the UK-UAE defence and industrial partnership.
